Portmore Park is our largest pasture, named for the house that Daniel grew up in (since it sounds like the name for a grand English Manor Home with surrounding parkland – which is what the field imaginatively looks like; if you squint, you’ll see Pemberley, with Mr. Darcy in front, ready to welcome you ;p). It’s a beautiful, open, flat field bordered by Whicher and Dairy Creeks on 3 sides and the Banks-Vernonia Trail on the east. There are lovely views of the Coast Range from it as well. We use it regularly as a beef cow pasture and often hay it in the spring when the grass is lush.
