The Grange Field

We have set aside 20% of our land (in cooperation with the Tualatin Soil and Water Conservation District) for a long-term project of growing native trees and shrubs to protect the creek banks from erosion and shade the water, and to provide habitat for insects and birds.  The Grange Field (right behind the Manning Grange) is largely in that project zone, so it is a really nice area for seeing birds and other wildlife.  Travelers on the Banks-Vernonia Trail can enjoy the benefits – as the Grange Field is on their west side as they move along the trail.
